Upcoming Trips
Tortuga Island
Tortuga Island is a small island off the north shore of Haiti. It is considered part of the Northwest Department, or Northwest Province. The Northwest Department is called by Haitians “The poor step-child of Haiti” because it is the poorest place in Haiti. There are 45,000 souls living on this island, with only one medical intern and two clinics, each staffed by one nurse. There are poor roads, and access to clean water is for much of the year. They need our help. We believe God has sent us to take His love to the people of Haiti, and for right now, focusing on Tortuga Island.
Trip dates are scheduled for:
- November 15-19, 2011
- February 14-28, 2011 Canceled due to rainy season
- May 15-29, 2012
- August 14, 2012
Conditions will be rugged. There are poor roads at best. You will require a tent and good hiking shoes. The greatest requirement, however, is love to minister to the people our Lord will bring to us, and faith in Him to be a big God, the only One who can make a lasting difference in their lives.
If God has called you to come with us, please let us know!
